Client Overview
Client is one of North America’s premier freight-hauling railroad, covering 23 states in the western two-thirds of the United States. The organization employs more than 32,000 employees and is one of North America’s most efficient supply chain solutions.
Situation
The client is incorporating a new digital transformation strategy and shifting from a project-oriented to a customer-centric and continuous-delivery product organization. By moving towards and focusing on fewer internally developed systems, they will take advantage of the broader business and consumer market technologies, permitting them to focus more on actual company-specific challenges and technologies.
Our Engagement
Aberdeen was engaged to work closely with the client’s IT leadership team and organization to help drive ERP and digital transformation efforts centered around an SAP 1st strategy.
Rapid Migration with ERP Transformation:
Provided guidance on the ERP implementation from a strategy, planning, and execution standpoint including functional and technology aspects of the implementation.
Provided best practices to accelerate digital transformation and ERP migration efforts.
Digital Transformation Strategy & Governance:
Spearheaded initiative's Program Strategy and Roadmap, assuring they were aligned with the client's unique needs and priorities.
Developed comprehensive TMO and PMO program structure, including outlining key interactions between teams.
Established general governance processes and frameworks for effective decision-making and oversight.
