Client Overview
Client is a private family investment office interested in acquiring a clinical practice management group that oversees 225 providers and across 25 states nationwide.
Situation
The client was going through the due diligence for a potential acquisition and needed a comprehensive IT due diligence performed, covering a current state technology and risk assessment plus a forward-looking analysis of short- to long-term technology investment needs and opportunities in support of the client’s growth goals.
Our Engagement
Aberdeen was engaged to work closely with the target’s IT leadership team and the client’s deal team to assess the current state technology organization and estate to identify risks and investment opportunities for due diligence report. Specific activities and output included:
Full assessment of target’s technology aspects for due diligence to identify risks:
Evaluation of organization, process documentation and IT policies
Review of network and server infrastructure plus end-user devices and client hardware
Assessment of application base incl. architecture and code review of custom applications
Defined short- / mid- / long-term investment opportunities
Opportunities to address identified risks around hardware and application integration/middleware
Opportunities to move core applications to more modern platform approach to allow for scaling with client’s growth targets
